Honest Running Journal

Write for us

We welcome pitches that make recreational running clearer, more useful or more interesting without leaning on hype. Send proposals through the Contact page; an unsolicited pitch is not a promise of publication.

What to pitch

We consider original ideas about getting started, run habits, routes, basic gear and running culture. A strong proposal has a specific reader question, a clear angle and a reason the piece belongs in this publication. We are interested in careful explainers, comparisons, practical planning and overlooked details.

What makes a good proposal

Keep the pitch focused: name the proposed subject, its central point, who it helps and how you would handle it. Tell us whether the idea relies on reporting, firsthand experience or outside material, and identify any relevant commercial interest. Do not send a complete article unless requested.

Our boundaries

We do not seek unsupported performance promises, medical claims, disguised advertising or material copied from elsewhere. Contributors should be comfortable with editing for accuracy, clarity and fit. Please send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option.
